Adam Drake

Adam DrakeResearch Scientist
MIT

Adam has a PhD in Biochemisty at Cambridge focusing on the immune system by studying DNA-pk and the MHC II gene regulators. His work here at MIT has continued to explore immunology, working on projects focused on both the innate and adaptive immune system. Currently, he is focusing on the innate immune response to lentiviral infection, focusing on dendritic cell mediated killing - an unappreciated immune response to retroviral infection of lymphocytes which he discovered in the Chen lab. Adam also works with other lab members to develop humanized mouse models to examine the human immune system in vivo during vaccination and hematologic malignancy.
