Wei Jian received his degree from the Nanyang Technological University of Singapore in 2011. He was subsequently awarded the SMA3 scholarship in 2011 and co-supervised by A/P Paul Macary Paul and Professor Jianzhu Chen. Wei Jian is interested in both in vivo and in vitro aspects of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) tumorigenicity. In vivo his investigation focuses on the role of EBV nuclear antigen 1 (EBNA-1) in conferring EBV persistence in EBV-infected cells. In Vitro, he is working to employ a humanized mouse model to establish the model for EBV-driven lymphoproliferative disorder.
